I grew up in Virginia and spent all my summers at my family’s
cottage in Nags Head, North Carolina. My childhood included many
happy hours on the water. I was busy swimming, riding the waves,
and racing sail boats. Every chance I got, I was fishing…off the
beach or in a boat.
My first off shore trip was on my family’s
boat, (the original) Seaducer. I saw the deep blue water…caught
a white marlin and a sailfish and was hooked for life! I have
many happy memories in the gulfstream with my dad, my uncle, and
my brothers. |

I was fortunate to graduate from Longwood College with a BS/BA
in Business Management. Soon after college, I became a
professional mate for seven years. When the opportunity to run
my own boat came my way, I jumped at the chance and bought the
Fast lane from its builder, Jake Evans. Since that time, I have
successfully fished the boat out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center
in Nags Head, North Carolina.

Seaducer
has a new mate, Captain Chris Brethauer,
signed on for 2009. Chris
and I have known each other since the
first year I ran the Seaducer. He was one of my dock partners
9 years ago. We are both committed to showing you a great day on
the water and we both have the experience to provide an
excellent day of fishing.

Here is a word from Chris:
“I
have been a professional mate on the Outer Banks for ten years.
Receiving my captain's license in 2004, I worked on a variety of
boats both as the mate and the captain. My experience and
dedication is strengthened by my love of the water and fishing.
I take pride in what I do and enjoy showing the party how I do
it. I like to share tricks and tips of the trade with my
charters. I like to get you involved so that you don't feel like
you are just a "reel winch". Any down time on the boat, I will
always have a "fishing tale" to share. I am always ready to be a
part of the trip of a life time.”
